Our Beginner Latin American Spanish course introduces you to the fundamentals of the language in a clear, structured, and practical way. Classes run once a week for 2 hours over 12 weeks (or twice a week for 1.5 hours over 8 weeks in the Intensive format), and learners complete 1.5–2 hours of weekly self-study at home to consolidate what they’ve learned. The programme is designed for complete beginners or learners with very limited previous exposure to Spanish.

We work with a modern textbook complemented by curated cultural content from across Latin America. Lessons combine essential grammar, communication practice, pronunciation, and cultural insights that help you understand not only how Spanish works, but how it is lived across different regions.

• Ask for and give basic information
• Talk about likes, dislikes, and preferences
• Order food and drinks; handle simple transactions
• Express basic plans and schedules
• Navigate everyday situations using common vocabulary and structures

What you will be able to do after the course

By the end of this Beginner programme, you will be able to:

• Hold short, simple conversations on familiar topics
• Ask and answer questions about yourself and others
• Describe your surroundings and talk about your daily life
• Understand and use frequent everyday expressions
• Communicate basic needs in shops, cafés, and public spaces
• Feel confident interacting in simple real-life situations
• You will also gain awareness of different Spanish varieties across Latin America, including vocabulary, pronunciation, and common expressions, along with cultural insights that enrich your understanding of the region.

A minimum number of students is required to open each group. If you miss a session, all classes are recorded so you can review or catch up at any time.
