This course is designed for complete beginners who have no prior knowledge of Spanish. By the end of the A0 level, learners will be able to understand and use very basic expressions, introduce themselves, and ask and answer simple questions about personal details in highly controlled situations.

We work with the textbook Campus Sur A1–B1, published by Difusión. Students are required to purchase the book separately.

A 15-minute placement call with one of our teachers is scheduled before the course to ensure you are placed at the appropriate level.

    Latin American Spanish — Advanced

    Course description: The Advanced Latin American Spanish course is intended for learners who already have an advanced level and want to refine fluency, accuracy, and sophistication in communication. It strengthens advanced grammar and vocabulary, while encouraging nuanced discussions and critical expression.

    What makes our programme unique: It focuses on Latin American Spanish in all its varieties, enriched with curated cultural content that reflects the region’s diversity – from history and society to arts and everyday life.

    How we do it: Each module runs for 12 weeks, taught by a native instructor from a different Latin American country, giving learners authentic exposure to varied accents and perspectives.

    How the classes work: Lessons are delivered online via lms.hetlatinlab.org in a flipped-classroom format. Students prepare with 1.5–2 hours of self-study per week and apply their knowledge in a 2-hour live group session. Groups are small, with a maximum of 6 participants, ensuring personalised feedback and plenty of speaking practice.
