The first school of Latin American Spanish
Het Latin Lab is proud to be the first institution entirely dedicated to Latin American Spanish. We offer a comprehensive and culturally immersive learning experience.

Our story
Het Latin Lab was founded in response to a long-standing gap in language education.
Despite the global influence of Latin American culture, no institution had created a structured programme focused specifically on Latin American Spanish.
As Europe’s cultural ties to Latin America deepened — through cinema, music, literature, and migration — so too did the interest in learning the language in its authentic regional forms. However, while courses in Peninsular Spanish were widely available, there remained no structured programme and no cultural home for Latin American Spanish in all its variety.
It became clear that learners needed a space where they could develop their language skills while engaging deeply with the culture. Het Latin Lab was created to meet that need.
Our mission
Het Latin Lab exists to make Latin American Spanish visible, valued, and accessible. Its mission is to deliver high-quality, inclusive education that connects language with identity, history, and lived experience. Our mission is not only to teach Spanish, but to share the diversity and richness of Latin America through every word, story, and conversation.
